The Leaders’ Circle giving society recognizes the commitment and contributions of donors who support Vermont Law School at a leadership level, year after year. To become a Leaders’ Circle member, donors make a five-year forward pledge of $1,000, $2,500, or $5,000 per year, and/or have demonstrated a five-year, consistent giving history at that level.
Members of the Leaders’ Circle make up an essential part of the VLS family of supporters, keeping our institution healthy, thriving, and at the forefront of today’s most important legal and policy issues. Making an annual gift at a leadership level allows you to play an important role in the financial health of VLS and to make a meaningful statement about how much you value the Vermont Law School education.
Leaders’ Circle gifts can be made at the following levels in one installment each year or accommodated through a recurring monthly gift:
There are several ways to begin your Leaders' Circle membership.
When does my membership take effect?
The moment you join! You will receive a welcome packet confirming your membership within a month of Vermont Law School receiving your Leaders' Circle pledge.
No, you can choose whether to make your first payment when you join or to pay later. However, please note that in order to remain a member in good standing, all pledges must be paid in full by the completion of the fiscal year. Outstanding pledges with booking dates between July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2015 must be made by June 30, 2015.
If you are a vlsConnect member, you can view your open pledges online here.
You both are! Leaders' Circle memberships are automatically extended to spouses and partners.
Unfortunately, no. Your generosity though the Leaders' Circle means that your gift provides support we can count on each year. By pledging to give this year and in the future, you allow us to accurately budget for future expenses. While a double or triple gift in 2014-2015 would help relieve this year's budget, it would deprive us of the ability to use those dollars in the future. If you wish to increase your donation, we hope you will consider upgrading to a higher Leaders' Circle level. Please contact us about increasing and structuring your gift.
Absolutely. Leaders' Circle members are honored for their annual leadership gifts and though we encourage unrestricted support, we want you to make a connection to the Vermont Law School priorities and programs that are most meaningful to you.
