Johanna de GraffenreidJohanna de Graffenreid found her roots in the EJ movement while working for Greenpeace in 2009, providing logistical support at the Capitol Climate & Cliffside actions. She got her start as an educator after training undocumented teenagers in anti-militarization tactics with the Ruckus Society during the beginnings of the Iraq war in 2005. For over a decade she has worked as a grassroots trainer, street medic, campaign director, and educator with grassroots, regional, and national organizations. She left the frontlines fighting mountain-top removal as the C.A.R.E. Campaign Coordinator for Coal River Mountain Watch to earn a Master’s of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School. She has since worked in the Gulf region on climate justice and oil and gas accountability campaigns. Johanna moved back to Vermont in 2017 to advance state-based policy during the Trump administration. She currently runs a coalition of over 37 organizations supporting food and farm businesses across New England and the Hudson Valley. Feel free to contact her for a full resume.
