Dear Alumni,

VLGS nurtures and develops changemakers. As you know, many students participate in experiential learning opportunities and choose mission-driven work upon graduation. These efforts multiply across many worthy causes while helping people and families in need.

Your participation in the Fund for VLGS is crucial to sustain our educational mission and vision. Since our founding in 1972, creating community has been our strength. It's no different today. Rooted in small-town South Royalton, we seek and support students from a host of diverse backgrounds who contribute to, and benefit from, a VLGS education in exciting and deeply meaningful ways.

Now, our initiatives call out for attention as we devote resources to ensure our students will thrive. If you are able, we hope you will participate during the month of April to celebrate spring and student growth by making an online gift to the Fund for VLGS.

Some of the many services we provide our students include:

  • Subsidizing meal costs in the VLGS café ($100 to $250 will keep meals affordable and nutritious)
  • Expenses for prospective students (up to $500 per visit will help individuals who are unable to afford a trip to campus)
  • Bar prep courses ($2,000 on average supports law students in passing the bar exam)
  • Mental wellness services ($2,500 assists a student throughout the academic year)
  • Academic accommodations ($3,000 provides necessary supports)
  • The Academic Success Program ($5,000 per student assists in developing strategies and methodologies for reading, note-taking, analysis, writing, organization, and studying)
  • Scholarship support (any amount will offset students' tuition costs, which average $50,000 per year)

This year, we're asking for 100% alumni participation in giving to support the VLGS mission. Your enthusiasm as a fellow Swan will ignite students' passions to change our world. Please click here to make your gift—any amount will help!

Sincerely,
