Alumni, students, and guests are cordially invited to join the Washington, DC Vermont Law School Alumni Association on November 13, 2014 at the presentation of the annual DCVLSAA Achievement Award to Nina Totenberg, American legal affairs correspondent for NPR.
This Achievement Award, presented annually by the DCVLSAA Board, recognizes organizations and people who are making the biggest strides and acting as leaders, catalysts, and educators, particularly in the field of environmental policy. The object is to highlight achievement and encourage conversations about ways to emulate and expand upon the success stories. Previous recipients include Russell Train, noted public servant and former World Wildlife Fund Chairman; Doug Siglin, Federal Affairs Director of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation; Jon Wellinghoff, Chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission; Lisa P. Jackson, Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency; Dr. Jane Lubchenco, Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere and NOAA Administrator; and most recently, Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont.
