The Douglas Meredith Legacy Society

Douglas Meredith (1905-1993) was a businessman, professor, civic leader, and VLGS board member. His leadership and philanthropic vision, including a generous bequest to Vermont Law and Graduate School, helped make VLGS the strong institution it is today. The Douglas Meredith Legacy Society was founded to acknowledge other individuals who have made a planned gift or included Vermont Law and Graduate School in their estate plans.

Vermont Law and Graduate School welcomes members to the Douglas Meredith Legacy Society who have:

  • Included VLGS in their estate plan through a will or living trust.
  • Created a charitable remainder trust, which names VLGS as the remainder beneficiary.
  • Named VLGS as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement plan.
