Mario Gallucci JD'90

Mario Gallucci is a seasoned criminal defense attorney based in Staten Island with more than 30 years of courtroom experience in New York, New Jersey, and federal courts. He earned his law degree from Vermont Law School, graduating in 1990. A former assistant district attorney in Richmond County, where he led the Drug Crimes Unit, Mario co-founded the Helbock, Napa, and Gallucci law firm in 1999. In 2018, he established The Gallucci Law Firm, where he has built a reputation as a leading criminal defense attorney in New York and New Jersey.

He has handled a wide range of high-profile cases, including the “Body Parts” case, which was later featured in the BAFTA Award–winning documentary "Body Snatchers of New York." Mr. Gallucci has appeared on “Dateline,” “American Greed,” and “Nancy Grace,” and hosted the television show “Partners in Crime” on the USA Network. He currently appears as a regular guest analyst on Court TV’s “Opening Statements,” providing commentary on trials across the country.

Known for his strategic defense work, negotiation skills, and courtroom advocacy, Mario has been recognized by Super Lawyers and The National Trial Lawyers Top 100. He is active in several legal organizations, including the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NYSACDL), the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), and the Richmond County Bar Association. Drawing on experience from both sides of the courtroom, he is a trusted advocate in complex and high-profile cases.
