Ben is a fourth-generation Texan and a proud graduate of Vermont Law School, earning his JD in 1990 and his MSL in 1995. He began his solo practice in Houston in 1994, focusing on personal injury, securities litigation, criminal law, and business litigation. In 2015, he shifted his focus to serving clients in the personal injury and products liability space, many of whom are Spanish speakers.
In 1999, Ben was honored to serve as a member of the U.S. Senate Hispanic Task Force. Later, in 2010, he co-wrote a campaign television commercial for the Texas governor. He has twice been a guest on The O’Reilly Factor and even ran for the Texas State Legislature, though unsuccessfully.
Ben currently divides his time between Texas and Europe, where his daughter also resides. His firm is now planning to open an office in Madrid. Like former Professor Norman Williams Jr., Ben is committed to never retiring. He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, and PEOPIL in Amsterdam.
A lifelong learner, Ben believes there is always more to discover as a trial attorney and remains an active student of the Gerry Spence Method in Wyoming and with Trial Lawyers University.
