Helene LJ Combes graduated in 2016 with MELP from VLGS and also holds an LLM in Human Rights Law from the University of Edinburgh. She currently works in Environment, Health and Safety legal consulting managing a team of international EHS experts based in Europe and the US.
While at VLGS, Helene served as the Masters Curriculum Committee Representative and helped launch the renovation of the Student Lounge in Dearing House. She was also an active member of the International Law Society and participated in the pro bono trip to Dilley, TX, working with asylum seekers in the Family Detention Center in April 2016.
Based in Edinburgh, UK, Helene has been a member of the Master's Only Alumni Committee since 2020, and is currently serving as chair. Helene looks forward to contributing to the continued efforts of the VLGSAA in supporting current and future alumni.
