Prior to earning his juris doctor from VLS in 1980, Scott Cameron received a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University in 1975. He went on to serve as Assistant Attorney General from 1980–1985, with responsibility for labor and employment related litigation and the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements. Mr. Cameron was then appointed Commissioner of Personnel by Governor Madeline M. Kunin in January 1985 and was responsible for the administration of Vermont's Civil Service System and the largest unionized workforce in the state.
From 1987–2019, he was a practicing attorney and partner in the law firm of Zalinger Cameron & Lambek, P.C., and has served as Of Counsel to the firm since 2019. Mr. Cameron’s practice emphasizes labor and employment law and the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements for a variety of public and private sector employers in Vermont.
