Ben Keown is the Holmes County Chief Assistant State Attorney for the 14th Judicial Circuit of Florida. As the County Chief for Holmes County, Mr. Keown handles all criminal cases and serves on executive assignments throughout the Florida Panhandle. Prior to receiving his LLM in Energy Law from VLS, he received his JD from Samford’s Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, AL; his Master of Science in Environmental Management from Samford’s Howard College of Arts and Sciences; and his undergraduate degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL.
Mr. Keown is licensed to practice law in Florida, Alabama, and the Federal Middle District of Alabama. Outside of work, Ben is an expectant father of his first son and is married to Katie Keown, LLM, who works for Farm Credit of Northwest Florida. He enjoys camping, woodworking, fishing, listening to audiobooks, and spending time with family and friends.
