Jami Westerhold JD/MSEL'08

Jami Westerhold HeadshotJami represents the Washington, D.C. regional group on the VLSAA Board of Directors. She has served in this capacity since 2020 and is the current co-chair of the VLSAA Regional Groups Committee. She previously served as president of the DCVLSAA for four years.

Jami has worked in the nonprofit and government sector for nearly 20 years. Her role has varied, covering human resources and finances, programmatic development and management, policy, community advocacy, data visualization, and fundraising. Jami currently serves as the Deputy Executive Director of the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE) where she oversees finance, operations, human resources, and development at NCTE. Jami also has the unique distinction of serving as a staff member for members of the U.S. Senate on both sides of the aisle.

Jami earned a Master of Science in Environmental Law and Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School in 2008. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies from Green Mountain College.
